Cancellation & Refund Policy
Central Vocational Education & Development Institute (CVEDI)
1. Introduction and Purpose
This Cancellation and Refund Policy outlines the principles, terms, and procedures governing the cancellation of admissions and refund of fees at the Central Vocational Education & Development Institute (CVEDI). It is designed to ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness between the Institute and its students. The policy is aligned with the ethical values and administrative standards of the MK Group of Education and applies to all programs—online, offline, and blended—conducted by CVEDI across its centers in India. The purpose of this document is to provide clear guidance to students on fee structure, refund eligibility, and cancellation criteria. By submitting an admission form or making any payment toward a course, students acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to this policy.
2. Scope of Application
This policy applies to all individuals who apply for admission, enroll, or make payments for any vocational, technical, or skill-based program offered by CVEDI. It covers both provisional and confirmed admissions, whether made directly through the head office, branch office, or authorized study centers.
3. Admission Confirmation and Agreement
An admission is considered confirmed once the student has filled the admission form, provided the required documents, and made the full or partial payment of fees. By confirming admission, the student agrees to abide by all institutional rules, academic policies, and financial regulations of CVEDI. The student further acknowledges that they have reviewed the course structure, duration, and eligibility criteria prior to payment.
4. Non-Refundable Fees
All fees paid toward admission, registration, tuition, and examination are strictly non-refundable under normal circumstances. The Institute incurs various administrative and operational expenses immediately upon registration, including course material preparation, faculty allocation, and system access setup. Therefore, once the payment is made, no request for a refund, adjustment, or transfer shall be entertained except as explicitly stated under special cases. No refunds shall be granted for voluntary withdrawal, dissatisfaction, non-attendance, or incomplete course participation.
5. Refund in Exceptional Cases
Refunds may be considered only under exceptional conditions, such as: a) Course cancellation by CVEDI due to administrative reasons or insufficient enrollment. b) Technical errors or duplicate payments made by the student. In such cases, after due verification, the refund will be processed to the original payment source within 7–14 working days. No cash refunds will be issued under any circumstances. Students must submit a written application with valid proof of payment and identity to initiate a refund request.
6. Mid-Course Discontinuation by the Institute
If CVEDI discontinues a course midway due to unforeseen administrative or regulatory circumstances, students will be eligible for a pro-rata refund for the unutilized portion of the course. Alternatively, the Institute may offer a transfer to another course of equivalent duration and value at no additional cost. The decision of the management in such cases shall be final and binding.
7. Provisional Admission and Document Submission
Admission shall remain provisional until all required documents and payments are submitted within the prescribed timeline. Failure to submit documents or pay the balance fees within the given period will result in automatic cancellation of admission without refund. Students are advised to retain acknowledgment receipts and copies of all documents for reference.
8. Cancellation by the Institute
The Institute reserves the right to cancel or terminate a student admission without prior notice in cases of misconduct, submission of false documents, violation of institutional policies, or non-payment of dues. No refund will be provided in such situations. The Institute also reserves the right to modify class schedules or course content in line with academic requirements without any obligation for refund.
9. Transfer, Substitution, and Deferral Policy
Admissions are non-transferable and cannot be shifted to another individual, batch, or academic year. Requests for postponement or change of course will not be accepted once registration is confirmed. Each admission is unique to the student and the session in which it was granted.
10. Student Responsibilities
It is the duty of every student to provide accurate information during admission and to comply with institutional guidelines. Students must ensure timely payment of fees, submission of documents, and regular attendance in classes. The Institute will not be responsible for any delay or loss arising from incorrect contact details, postal delays, or unresponsiveness. All official communication will be sent via SMS, email, or WhatsApp to the registered contact details only.
11. Processing of Refund Requests
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Accounts and Administration Department along with necessary supporting documents. The application should include the student full name, registration number, course name, and transaction details. Upon verification, eligible refunds will be processed electronically to the same payment account within 7–14 working days. No requests will be accepted verbally or over the phone.
12. Policy Revisions and Updates
CVEDI reserves the right to modify, amend, or update this policy at any time without prior notice to students. The updated version of this policy will be published on the official website (www.cmvboard.org). Students are encouraged to review the policy periodically to remain informed of any changes. Continued enrollment or use of institutional services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Legal Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
All disputes arising from admissions, fees, or this policy shall be governed by the laws of India and subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Students are encouraged to first reach out to the Institute grievance cell for amicable resolution before pursuing legal remedies. CVEDI aims to resolve disputes fairly and promptly while maintaining the dignity of both parties.
14. Communication and Transparency
All communication regarding refund or cancellation will be conducted through official email or written correspondence only. The Institute will not be liable for misunderstandings arising from unofficial communication channels. Students are advised to retain acknowledgment copies of any correspondence with the Institute for their records.
15. Institutional Integrity and Ethical Practices
The MK Group of Education and CVEDI are committed to maintaining ethical standards and financial transparency. All decisions related to fee payments, refunds, or cancellations are made in accordance with established institutional norms and government regulations. Any attempt to misuse or falsify information to obtain an undue refund will result in legal action and permanent disqualification from the Institute.
16. Policy Acknowledgement
By paying the registration or tuition fee, students acknowledge that they have read and understood the terms of this Cancellation and Refund Policy. They agree that all decisions made by the Institute management in relation to cancellations or refunds shall be final and binding. Ignorance of policy content will not be accepted as a valid excuse for exceptions or disputes.
